Finextra: Web security fears hinder move to online banking - BT
Around a third of UK consumers cite security fears as the main reason for not using the Internet to manage their finances, according to research conducted by BT.
In the survey of 200 consumers in the UK, 28% cited the Web as their preferred method of banking, but security fears prevented 29% from moving online.
The research found that half of consumers (51%) still prefer to make the journey to a branch to manage their finances.
